Leona Wagner is now retired and lives with her husband in the western United States. She has two children and a grandchild who lives nearby. “Guests In Her Life” is her debut book and one of the best Family Life Fiction Books – a life goal that was fun writing and developing the story’s characters. She intends to write two more following the Everitt family through the years. Her focus is and always has been family.
Leona believes that in the end, the accomplishment that matters most is the love you have given and received from your family. She was the caregiver for her aging parents and her sister while they spent their final weeks in hospice. She is a committed animal advocate – we can learn much about love from animals.

An interesting and thought provoking look into family dynamics. I am thinking everyone can identify ourselves somewhere within these characters. A good read with an unforeseen conclusion.

Wagner does a great job at making the characters come to life in the telling of a story centered around a family and many types of love - imperfect, unconditional, unexpected, and true. I found myself connecting with the members of the Everitt family as well as laughing out loud at some of their quirks. And the ending – I think I made an audible gasp at one point!
The book is well-written and will keep your attention the whole way through. Looking forward to reading more from Leona Wagner.
Swiftly captivating and a gentle/easy read, this book does a wonderful job of connecting you to the invisible bonds and ties within your own family. We remember how present both love and heartbreak are in life. It held me on the edge of my seat the whole read (I never finish novels this quick!) it’s a lovely story that has you engaged and interested in the characters straight away. Just when you start to think life is smooth and easy peasy Leona SHOCKS you! Life can seriously be so surprising and this book gives me all the feels while connecting me to the richness of real life.
100% hoping to see Wagner do a sequel!
